CMS issues 2018 Medicare Advantage, prescription drug plan star ratings
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services this week published its star ratings for 2018 Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans. Approximately 44% of MA plans that offer prescription drug coverage will have an overall rating of four stars or higher in 2018, and about 52% of stand-alone prescription drug plans will have a rating of four stars or higher in 2018. Open enrollment for 2018 MA and prescription drug plans begins Sunday and ends Dec. 7. CMS recently released premium and cost information for MA and Part D prescription drug plans for the 2018 calendar year.
