Reminder: Dec. 2 deadline for CAHs to apply for EHR hardship exception
Critical access hospitals that did not achieve meaningful use of certified electronic health record technology in the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program for the 2018 reporting period can apply through Dec. 2 for a hardship exception to avoid a 2018 payment adjustment. The deadline for other eligible hospitals to submit hardship forms for the 2020 payment adjustment was in July. For more on the Promoting Interoperability Programs, visit www.cms.gov.
