CDC reports 2.4 million fewer uninsured Americans in 2022
The share of uninsured Americans fell 0.8 percentage point in 2022 to 8.4%, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported this week. That’s about 2.4 million fewer uninsured people than a year ago. Adults under age 65 were the most likely to be uninsured (12.2%), followed by children (4.2%) and adults 65 and over (0.6%).
