CMS finalizes proposed rule on Medicare DSH policy
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services June 7 finalized a policy governing the treatment of Medicare Part C days when calculating a hospital’s disproportionate patient percentage for discharges prior to Oct. 1, 2013, in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling in Azar v. Allina Health Services. The AHA commented on the proposed rule in October 2020.
