SAMHSA awards $35M in behavioral health, HIV prevention grants
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration this month awarded $35 million in grants to expand access to behavioral health and HIV treatment and prevention services for racial and ethnic medically underserved people. The awards include 44 grants of up to $500,000 to provide substance use disorder treatment; 35 grants of up to $300,000 to provide substance use and HIV prevention services; and three grants of up to $667,000 to pilot an approach to portable clinical care for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
