AHA shares recommendations with House Budget Committee task force
Responding to a request for stakeholder input, AHA shared with the House Budget Committee Health Care Task Force its recommendations to make health care more affordable without compromising access to high quality care. The recommendations include proposals to streamline health insurers’ administrative practices and federal regulatory requirements; expand access to care through digital health technologies; reform the medical liability system; reduce prescription drug costs; promote innovation, prevention and equity; prevent inappropriate care denials in Medicare Advantage; and enforce medical loss ratio requirements.
