The Department of Health and Human Services today issued a request for information seeking public comments on how the department can accelerate the adoption and use of artificial intelligence in clinical care. The notice follows the agency’s Dec. 4 announcement of its strategy on integrating AI across internal operations, research and public health efforts. The RFI focuses on questions in three areas: AI regulation, reimbursement, and research and development. Comments will be accepted for 60 days following publication of the notice in the Federal Register.
