UnityPoint Health — Cedar Rapids names CEO

The UnityPoint Health — Cedar Rapids Board of Directors has named Michelle Niermann as president and CEO of UnityPoint Health — Cedar Rapids. Niermann currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of UnityPoint Health — Cedar Rapids. She has held numerous senior positions within the region since she started working as an administrative fellow in 1994. 

Decatur County Hospital names CEO

The Decatur County Hospital Board of Trustees has appointed Mike Johnston as the new CEO of Leon, Iowa-based Decatur County Hospital. Johnston came to Decatur County Hospital after holding various positions at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Ga. He relocated to Leon in 2016 to serve Decatur County Hospital as its chief operating officer.

UNC Lenoir Health Care taps new CEO

Kinston, N.C.-based UNC Lenoir Health Care has named James Dennard Jr., to serve as president and CEO effective in March. Dennard has served as administrator for Gwinnett Medical Center in Gwinnett County, Ga., for the past 10 years. 

Providence Holy Cross names CMO

Mission Hills, Calif.-based Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has selected Rex Hoffman, M.D., to serve as chief medical officer. Most recently Hoffman served as medical director of radiation oncology at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif. Hoffman has also served as co-chairman of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services' Cancer Leadership Council.

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare selects CFO

Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare has selected Chuck Lane to serve as senior vice president and chief financial officer. In 2017 Lane became senior vice president and associate CFO for the health system. Lane has worked at Methodist Le Bonheur since 1996, serving in several leadership roles.
