EvergreenHealth names CEO

Kirkland, Wash.-based EvergreenHealth has appointed Jeff Tomlin, M.D., as CEO. Interim CEO since May 31, he previously was the health system’s chief medical and quality officer, overseeing clinical quality and safety initiatives.

Memorial Hermann Health System selects CEO

Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System has named David Callender, M.D., president and CEO effective Sept. 1. He has served as president of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston since 2007. 

Medical City North Hills names CEO

Medical City North Hills hospital in North Richland, Texas, part of HCA Healthcare, has appointed Mark Deno CEO effective Aug. 5. He previously was chief operations officer at Medical Center of Aurora (Colo.). 

Blanchard Valley Health System selects CIO

Findlay, Ohio-based Blanchard Valley Health System has selected James Wellman as chief information officer. He most recently was chief information and compliance officer for a county hospital in Oklahoma, and before that worked 21 years in health information technology at University of Kentucky HealthCare.
